On the sidelines of the Egyptian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce meeting held in Bucharest, Romania, the Egyptian Company for Natural Gas Distribution to Cities (Town Gas) signed contracts to implement projects for manufacturing pressure reduction stations in Egypt, as well as to deliver natural gas to homes and other facilities in Romania. This comes after Town Gas was accredited by the Romanian Energy Authority (ANRE) as a contractor for natural gas projects, making it the first Egyptian company to operate in this field within Europe.

The contract signing was witnessed by Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Mr. Stefan Radu, Romanian Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Eng. Yass Mohamed, Executive Managing Director of EGAS, representing Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The contract was signed by Eng. Mohamed Fathy, Chairman of Town Gas, and Mr. Sebastian Caloger, CEO of the Romanian company CIS GAS.”
